Your Guide

Cartwright Morris

Leadership Guide · Certified Executive & Leadership Development Coach · The Center for Executive Leadership

With 12+ years mentoring men and developing men's cohorts, I facilitate transformation for young professional men seeking purpose. I focus on fostering deep self-reflection over rigid instruction. I created the MEN ARE FORGED Podcast and THE FORGE program to give men permission to live unconventionally and pursue the life God has for them from their conviction only found in Jesus.

Why I Do This

Not a motivator. A guide.

"In my own twenties I wished I had a guide — someone to walk alongside me through life, work, and relationships, and give me permission to trust who God made me instead of constantly trying to be someone else. Now I get to be that guide for other young men in the same season."

Every man is being forged by something.

There is no neutral. Your habits, your work, your feeds, your friendships — something is shaping who you're becoming, whether you chose it or not. The only real question is whether you'll take formation seriously enough to choose what forms you.

Your identity is not your output.

Performance-based identity is the water most young professional men swim in — and it quietly wrecks them. Scripture starts somewhere else: you are enough because you belong to God, not because of what you produce. Everything I do is built on that reversal.

God wastes nothing.

The setback, the season that made no sense, the story you'd rather skip — none of it is wasted material. The forge doesn't destroy the metal; it makes it useful. Your past is raw material for what God is building, not a disqualification from it.

Be two feet where you are.

Most men early in career and life live one foot in the present, one foot in the next thing. The next job, the next city, the next season. Faithfulness looks like full presence: this job, this city, these people, today. The next assignment is usually given to the man who was all-in on the current one.

Growth happens in relationship, over time, and on purpose.

Not from content. Not from motivation. Not overnight. Real formation happens when a man is known, walks with other men, and stays in the process long enough for the heat to do its work. That's why FORGE is built as ongoing guidance, not a quick fix.

How I lead

Invitation-focused, not directive

  • I create space for self-discovery rather than telling you what to do

  • I ask the questions that get past the polished answer

  • I'm laid-back in style but intentional in every conversation

  • Jesus and Scripture are the non-negotiable center of the process

"Cartwright provided for me a safe place to ask tough questions toward an entirely new perspective. He has guided me from a place of always striving to do more to a place of contentment. Every time I leave my meeting with Cartwright, I leave with more confidence in who I am."

Bo Morgan — Business Development Manager
"I never realized how much I held myself back until Cartwright helped me understand what a healthy mentality truly looks like. I have learned to take ownership of unhealthy thinking, and I am now applying those principles into my daily life."

Michael Mitchell — CEO
"Cartwright has a unique gift of finding the best in others and helping them maximize their best self. If you are looking for someone to help you reach your fullest potential, look no further than Cartwright."
